How to Hook Up Our New HDTV and Antenna

Thursday, July 16, 2009

Let me take the opportunity to object to what happened to us when we tried to connect an antenna for HDTV, you will not have to waste your time doing these things. Firstly all of our family has always aspired an HDTV. It was a task within itself.
There must be an assortment of 100 brands and types to choose from! So we did eventually find one that we are all united on. After giving up television, we learned that we had to acquire an HD antenna to watch our local channels broadcast in HD. Our first dish we tried was purchased at the same place as our TV.
After that we gathered together in the garage, we conducted inside and up the stairs to the 2nd floor window. We raised it to the window and put the 17 year old on the roof with the antenna. We used walkie talkies to interact between the roof and the family room with tv.

His job was to turn the antenna until the signal is tiny increases come in. The problem is that we could get 2 channels at once to come in vivid but never been able to get all the channels come together.
We have therefore set the antenna, preceded to the garage, hidden and had to buy more and go through the whole procedure again. Once again it,s on the roof with 17 years of age. Twisting and turning and falling in a thunderstorm. Not so bad, but still raining all the same.
This is approximately a total of 4 nights in the period of December during the cold and precipitation. We can never get this HDTV antenna in order to convert, we finally abandoned. We have a great giant of the new concealed antenna and put it in the car to return.
I was glad it does not work because it looked horrible up there on the roof. He was distinguished as a painful finger. Then we did some research on cyberspace and an antenna that claimed to do everything we needed and the good part was, it was less expensive and way way smaller.

It has not been done in not exceeding the size of a cookie sheet. We bought the HDTV antenna and at home. No construction required and we put the 17yr old back on the roof with walkie talkies again and this time we had a communication before even tried to change the antenna.
It is incredible .. we found all the unencrypted channels to reach, without even trying to fix the antenna to the perfect "sweet spot that we use the previous one, with two others.
While putting on the roof and pointing in the general direction where the stations are located has what it takes! Apparently, this HDTV antenna is much higher caliber antenna.
If I know those 5 days before, I could have backed up all evening, the poor kid on the roof and aggrevation it took for our family to finally enjoy HDTV!
